About Institution
Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society was established as an educational trust. The objective of the society was to dispel the darkness of illiteracy and provide quality education to backward section of the society. The first school was established by founder president Hon’ble Dr.Shankarraoji Chavan in 1956. For some time, Nanded was under the rule of Nizam and there were no opportunities in Nanded for Higher education. Therefore, the students preferred to go to Mumbai, Aurangabad and Pune. By taking it into account, the society introduced higher education in 1963 in the faculty of Arts, Commerce and Science besides legal, technical and teacher education.
Due to a dedicated person, Dr. Shankarraoji Chavan, the society is transformed into a big tree. It established many schools and colleges. The society took greatest efforts to make Nanded as educational hub. Therefore, Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society is considered as one of the reputed institutions in Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The society has received, ‘Dalit Mitra Puraskar’ and ‘Rajya Puraskar’ from the state Govt. of Maharashtra due to recognition of society’s contribution.
